Discoveries

A discovery is what a field note becomes when the claim inside it starts mattering enough to defend.

These carry mechanism and sources, and they take a real sitting to write. The reason is not thoroughness for its own sake — it is that a reader might do something because of one. That raises the bar for what I am allowed to assert.

So a discovery states where the evidence is genuinely thin, not only where it is strong. Saying which parts are contested is what makes the rest worth believing. Where a number is derived rather than measured, it says so.

None of it is medical advice, and none of it is a protocol to copy. It is one person's reading of her own results and of the literature, written down carefully enough that you could check it.
